HOPE2Home Service Details

To ensure no-one suffers in silence we proactively reach out to the community to identify those in need through housing associations, schools, councils, and many support organisations.
Working closely with the weekend HOPE2Street team, HOPE2Home extends the support offered by Burton HOPE to cover poverty support during the week.
The HOPE2Home service is operated by 3 small sub-teams that work closely to provide an efficient coordinated service.
Messaging team

The HOPE2Home messaging team monitors the Facebook messenger messages for inbound parcel requests on Tuesday and Thursdays, checking the validity of the requests.

Cross checks are also carried out with the weekend HOPE2Street team. Once all the required details are collected the details are entered into our GDPR compliant cloud-based service ticket system. This tracks the status of all requests.
Parcel making team

The HOPE2Home parcel making team is trained to make up food parcels safely in our 5* hygiene rated food storage facilities. Working in pairs, the team makes up single, double, and family parcels. This is normally a once per week task so we have enough parcels made for the week ahead.
Parcels contain a minimum of 2 meals per day for 1-4 adults (single-family) over 3 days. The meals are a balance of vegetables, protein, and carbs
Parcel delivery team

The parcel delivery teamwork in pairs. Each Tuesday and Thursday after the 3 pm cut off, tickets are assigned to the delivery teams.
Delivery teams wear supplied Hi-Viz, ID Lanyards, PPE and use alcohol hand gel after loading and between each delivery to reduce the chance of viral/bacterial cross-infection.

All delivery details are tracked in the system, the teams check in once all deliveries are made and tickets are updated.
